On November 7th 2016 the first (annual?) rocket stove workshop was delivered in New Hazelton by the Airshed Management Society's outreach coordinator for the Hazeltons, Laurie Gallant, with the able assistance of Bill Crosson.
From the convenor's wrap-up report -
The Rocket Camp Stove Workshop has happened and there are 10 new rocket camp stoves circulating in the Bulkley Valley this morning :-)
Twelve students plus Bill and Laurie as facilitators for 14, were in attendance.
One person did not complete the stove, and there was a mother/son team that made one stove together.
From the facilitators standpoint the event was very successful and key messages on air quality and the work of AMS were delivered.
