Recycling or Decommissioning

The CWSRP is largely a wood stove recycling program. In order to qualify for a rebate – the old inefficient wood burning appliance must be either recycled or decommissioned. Please contact us if you have questions.

I have an original rsf in Dease lake bc. Sadly the top inside plates have warped and the back plate disintegrating. I love the stove and wondering what I can replace it with as no longer efficient the way it is. I heat a log cabin about 1800 square feet. Thank you for reply.

      Hi There,
I have a Jotel F45 Greenville and they have plenty of nice looking models – the heat out the front glass is immediate and the stove holds heat for a long time after the fire is out. Plus its upright and doesn’t take a lot of room. Many people in the Smithers area are using Pacific Energy or Blaze Kings, even the Drolet Escape 1800. Best to visit a showroom but you can look them up on line too. Ardent Energy is the company out East that took over RSF production: https://gasfireplace.com/ardent-energy-furnaces. Worth looking into but not sure how easy to get out here – if you go into Terrace check out Rona.
